James has founded over twenty companies developing novel approaches to use discoveries about how and why we age to prevent and treat diseases. He is the Founder and CEO of Cambrian Bio, a leading clinical-stage drug development company focused on the biology of aging. Before Cambrian, Peyer created the modern investment strategy in longevity biotech as the Founder and Managing Partner of Apollo Health Ventures.

Dr. Peyer holds a BA in Biology from University of Chicago and a PhD with a focus on blood stem cell biology as a National Science Foundation Fellow at UT Southwestern.
